Groups Video Tutorial (Web🖥️)
Hello and welcome to the RSAC Community! 👋 I’m Kara, your Customer Support Manager. In this video, I'll walk you through how to get started and navigate our Groups feature in the Web App, so you can connect with your community.
Let’s begin by navigating to your groups.
Head to the left-side panel and select groups.
On the left side, you’ll see all the Groups you’re currently a part of, along with the Search area.
If you haven’t joined any groups yet, go ahead and click “Search.”
Let’s start with joining The Lobby. The Lobby group is a great place to get started, introduce yourself, and see who else has joined the community. You can see here that many members have introduced their name, their job role, and why they’re excited to join the community! Go ahead and join in!
Another must-have group to join is our Cybersecurity Discussion. Here, we host our AMA sessions led by expert cybersecurity professionals. You can see past text-based AMAs here and stay informed about those that are upcoming!
We consistently provide news and updates on all things RSAC in the following Groups, so make sure to join these, too!
👉 RSAC Community Updates
👉 RSAC Conference Updates
👉 RSAC Community Events
Anyone in the community can join a public group, just a heads up, you must be approved by a community manager to join a private group. The requirements to join a private group are noted in the group summary. The private groups button also notes “request invitation” versus public groups' state “join group."
Okay, so let’s say you are really interested in AI & Security. Go ahead and search AI & determine which public or private groups you might want to join. Please note that in our search function, you can also search recent messages with keywords.
As you can see, I’m already a part of AI & Security, but let’s say I have read an interesting article in our Daily Briefs feature about an AI update. I can share this link directly in this group and ask general or specific questions to get the community’s take on this news.
Lastly, in the upper right-hand corner of any group, you can set your preferences and learn more. The bell icon notes whether notifications are on or off for this group, and the 3 dots in the upper-right-hand corner allow you to see group information to connect 1:1 with other members or leave the group.
If you have any other questions about Groups, how to get involved, or provide valuable feedback on enhancements, head to our Help Center and submit a ticket! We always appreciate connecting and ensuring you’re having a great experience.
Thanks again for being part of the RSAC Community. We’re excited to have you here and can’t wait to see you in one of our groups! 👋
